Dual Screen Portable DVD Players Knowledge Base
Dual screen portable DVD player with battery? Does anyone know where I can find a dual screen portable DVD player with battery? Our current one stopped working and I cannot find one with a battery for the main screen anywhere. We like to bring the main screen on airplanes with us which is why we need the battery. Here is a link to an example of a dual screen portable DVD player: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Element-7-Dual-Screen-Portable-DVD-Player-E750-DPD/sem/rpsm/oid/180352/catOid/-12874/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do This one does not have a battery on the main unit. It needs to be plugged in at all times (wall outlet or in the car). 95% of the time that would be okay, but on occasion we would like to be able to just take the main unit on an airplane and use it. Thanks!
Dual Screen Portable dvd player? Me and my family are moving across country and we are taking a car. We need a dual screen portable dvd player that can play 2 movies at once. It also needs to have headphone jacks. Does anyone know a an affordable candidate?
Will my dual dvd players fit on my head rest? I have a Town and Country mini van. My head rest are not adjustable. Does anyone own a Philips 7" Dual-Screen Portable DVD Player, PET7402/37? If so, can you tell me if the straps are horizontal or vertical? My seats are one full seat so Im hoping they are horizontal.
I have an Element Portable DVD dual screen player-model E750-DPD? Can I hook Playstation 2 up to it? The main screen has a separate digital out and av in hole in addition to these three to connect to the second screen-DC out, IR link, AV out. The second screen has only av in ir link, dc in-all which connect to the first screen. The player came with an av cable, one side connects to the main screen digital out. The other end has 3-red,yellow,white-but they can't connect to PS2-is this where I need a separate adapter? If so, what? I'll bet Radio Shack will have what I need, they always do! Thanks so much in advance. I am travelling with two little boys this weekend and this will save my sanity on the long car-ride if one can watch a movie and the other can play a game!!!! Then they won't fight (or maybe not as much:)...).
Do portable DVD players kill your car battery? We have dual screen Phillips portable dvd player and the last few times we have used it, we have noticed that after using it the day before for a couple of hours, we have trouble starting our car. It is plugged into the adapter provided by the mini-van. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution? The battery is about a week old.
How do I get my portable DVD player to run off it's battery? I bought an Insignia dual screen portable DVD player at Best Buy. I have returned 2 so far because I can't get them to play using battery power. I have called the Insignia help line 3 times with no success. I have tried plugging the unit in for 24+ hrs to charge the battery - both with the unit on and with the unit off. I assume that I should be able to play a movie, and remove the power plug to let the battery take over.....or turn the unit on without having the power cord plug in.....I can't do either. I can't find any switch to engage the battery....can't find any settings in the menus of the DVD player....and can't find any instructions about the battery in the manual. The helpline insists that it has an internal battery and that it should last about 2.5 hrs. I thought I was a smart guy, but I'm feeling very dumb......please help!
How do I hook up my playstation to my venturer dual portable dvd player? I'm trying to hook up my playstation to my portable dvd player that has two screens.... I plug my playstation into one of the screens and it works fine but i can't connect the screens together after i plug in my playstation because there is no other red yellow and white holes to plug them into....... Is there a cable I can buy to do this? like a y adapter or something?
Portable Disney DVD player will only play/recognize CD's.? We recently bought a portable dual screen Disney dvd player off ebay and it will only recognize and play CD's. When you put a dvd in, it just scans and scans endlessly, but never brings up a menu. I used a lens cleaning disc, didn't work; left it on for two hours in case of moisture problem, didn't work. Wondering if this was a common problem with an easy fix.
Any suggestion for a portable DVD player for the car that allows game system hookup? Would prefer a portable DVD system with dual screens, and would like to have it with a battery. I saw a perfect one by Venturer, an 8.4" dual screen system, but can't find it at any store online or otherwise. I tried to email Venturer, and message failed. I am at a loss for what other system might work. We want to take on a long road trip and let the kids hook up their game system for the hours on the road.
Portable DVD Player? So I'm taking a very long car ride with kids and was considering the dual screen dvd player for the car. Then I was thinking I should get a single portable to take with me other places. Any ideas on it? Which would be a better investment. Most singles I've seen are almost as much as the dual screen.
Can I bring my xbox360 in a car trip without surges or anything happing to it? i'm going dowwn to florida this summer, and im bringing my xbox to let me have something to do when i go down. Opinions on Accurian products? http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3304505&cp=2032059.2032323&accessories=accessories&custRatings=custRatings&support=support¤tTab=custRatings&parentPage=family&features=features&summary=summary&techSpecs=techSpecs&tab=accessories That one in particular if anyone has used one. We bought out kids a dual screen portable dvd player but aren't happy with the wires being everywhere considering our youngest will be 2 1/2 and 13 months when it is given to them to use. There also is not enough room in the backseat for our other daughter to be able to view it comfortably. We want to find a larger single screen instead. Any opinions on this product would be appreciated...or suggestions on other brands.
Can I install any dvd player in my car? I have an escalade with dual headrest screens, but I don't have a dvd player. Can I use any portable dvd player on it, or is there some kind of car dvd player that i need? Brands? Thanks!
We have audio but not video on our portable DVD player. How do we fix it? It's a dual screen, so it's got the cables that come from the main device and plug in to each screen. (We secure them to the back of the captain's chairs in the minivan so our kids can watch movies during long road trips.) The screen is bright blue the whole time, not dark. All of the cables are connected (and they are all black). It plays all DVDs -- we can HEAR the movie, we just can't SEE it. The device has worked just fine until now. The screen is always blue. It is the only thing we can see.
Will AVI. format play on DVD Players? I use a game tracking/trail camera (cuddeback no flash to be exact) and it uses Compact Flash ULTRA II cards to collect the images and videos. I was going to purchase a card viewer with a screen to view images in the field immediately when I switch out my SD cards. After researching the only one I could find, I felt it was not economical, as the product reviews were at best 50/50 for this machine. I then started researching portable DVD players that also have a USB port (as tyhis is the way i presently view the images and videos on my computer), or even a card port. I have found quite a few of these which seem to be economical. This would also serve a dual purpose as I would have a portable DVD for DVD viewing. My question is this though. The format or the still images is JPEG. which it appears that (most) DVD players will play JPEG images. The video format is AVI. Does anyone know if DVD players will play this format? Or if there is one DVD that will? Thank You
Portable DVD Player with AV facility? I have a Canon EOS 400D which has a cable to connect to the Video input of the AV facility of any television. I would like to know whether they sell a Portable DVD Player with this facility as it would serve a dual purpose on holiday: one, you can listen/watch CD/DVDs, and two, you can plug in the camera and review pictures you have taken on a much bigger screen. If they do make them, can I please have the make? Thank you Thank you Classicsat. Yes, I have looked at quite a few, but it is AV output and not input. Remember I want to display the camer's pix, so it is OUT of the camera and IN to the PDvDP.

FFXI graphics are messed up...? I have installed both Warhammer online and FFXI on my Toshiba Satellite model A305-S6858 which has Vista on it. Warhammer looks fine however FFXI isn't looking correct with mostly the characters and mobs in the game. They flicker and appear to only show some of the colors or all the colors and parts of the character or mob are missing. I'm not sure what settings I need to change if I can to make this work correctly. I have installed the newest DirectX and video drivers and still not working properly and this is even after I reinstalled the OS. Which I did for other reason. I am probably giving more info than needed or maybe not enough.. However if someone can direct me the direction needed to get this solved I would be most greatful! Thanks ahead of time! Its a specail fix for the graphic issue I am having...so if anyone knows of where I can find it that would be great! Untill then I will keep searching. Thanks! A friend of mine found a link on intels site that has the 64 bit version downloadable. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=2800&lang=eng If link wont work, just do the following: You go to Intels main page click downloads under work section. (takes you to a new window) Select "Graphics" on the left side Select "laptop graphic contollers" Select "Mobile Intel 965 express chipset family" (takes you to a new window) Just select the OS and go from there. As of last night they did have the vista home premium for downloading. I am not sure for the othe other os downloads. Hope this helps out! When I edit the question stating about the 64 bit driver being found, that was when I had the issue resolved... So thanks to you all for replying. Just glad I can play now with graphics back to normal.
