How do I fix the play button on my portable DVD player?

I was using my portable DVD player, and the play button just stopped working. It is not the greatest DVD player, but I really need to fix this ASAP. Please help me. The best answer will get 10 points! And please don't say go to a professional and get it fixed. I don't have that much money, and I really need to fix this.

2. Why do people always say the best answer will get 10 points? The answer selected as the best answer always gets 10 points. The only way to fix this yourself is if the player came with a remote control. Use the remote instead of the button. If you've lost the remote, you can try using a universal remote. No point in taking it to the shop, since a new one is probably about the same price as a repair shop.
3. I know this isn't ASAP, but since it isn't working anyways, about all you can do is try opening it up and clean the switch with some alcohol. However, I have to tell you that this doesn't work all the time, so you are probably going to have to get another DVD player.
