Dual Screen Portable DVD Players

What is the lifespan of a dual screen portable dvd player? E.g Philips PET726 dual screen portable dvd player.?

I'm looking into buying a Philips dual screen portable dvd player, but I want to know if they are any good. Also do they last long (not battery wise, but how many years before they go to the garbage). I keep reading bad reviews about these portable dvd players and how they stop working in less than a year. Can anyone share their experiences, and how long they've had it for. Im planning on getting the Philips PET726. Thank you in advance.

1. Usually they last until you drop them, which most people eventually do. Or until they get stolen, if you decide to leave them in the car to prevent yourself from dropping them.
