We have audio but not video on our portable DVD player. How do we fix it?
It's a dual screen, so it's got the cables that come from the main device and plug in to each screen. (We secure them to the back of the captain's chairs in the minivan so our kids can watch movies during long road trips.) The screen is bright blue the whole time, not dark. All of the cables are connected (and they are all black). It plays all DVDs -- we can HEAR the movie, we just can't SEE it. The device has worked just fine until now. The screen is always blue. It is the only thing we can see.

- Are you certain you connected ALL the cables? Double check your video cable (usually yellow) connections. It should be pretty straightforward. If you are sure all your connections are good, make sure that the DVD in question will play on another DVD player. Is this a new problem? Did the video ever work before on this unit? Or, is the unit brand new and you've never seen a picture on it?
- When you switch on the DVD does the DVD logo(greeting message) appear on the screens?Try this with no DVD inside the player.Blue screens means "no video signal" so it is a cable issue. If the logo appear then it is a decoder issue(inside the player) and you need a service center to fix it! Also if the player has an "AUX" input see if it isn't activate(in this situation the player is waiting for another source of video signal so the blue screen is right). On the remote or on the back of the player must be a switch for this!
