Dual Screen Portable DVD Players

Is a portable DVD player allowed in carryon on International flights?

I am going to be traveling to Honduras on June 28, 2008. I will be flying with American Airlines. I am thinking about taking a portable DVD player. I wanted to know if that will be allowed in my carryon. Thanks.
